Cruithine

We almost have another moon, but she’s really hard to see.
She orbits not around us, but swings by occasionally.

About five Kilometers is about her present size,
and she stays with us one-to-one, but here is the surprise -

Her orbit is not oval and her plane a bit askew.
Just an ordinary asteroid, but close enough to view,

with proper telescopic, equipment and location.
Nobody thinks she’s close enough to cause a big sensation.

No bigger than a comet, but she doesn’t have a tail.
Perhaps a future target, should the opportunity avail.

Keep a lookout for this oddity as she pursues her course.
If luck cannot be with you, you can always ask the “force.”
