June 2017
The Airfest was a huge success. Lots of aircraft displays from WW I and WW II as well as civilian
planes from both eras. We had military parachute jumpers and a number of very cool
jet fly-bys and aerial demonstrations. There were a number of vintage aircraft, both civilian and  military.
We did solar observing but were not fortunate to get any sun spots that day.

This is what it was all about today - The Sun	Even little ones wanted to get a look at The Sun
	One fellow wanted to have a long discussion about astro photography
A beautifully restored B-25 (the type that Jimmy Doolittle used to bomb Tokyo from an aircraft carrier early in the war	B-25 with a P51 Mustang escort. there were five Mustangs, the B-25 as well as an F-18 and a French Alpha Jet.
This must have been a familiar sight in the second half of WW II	Chinese and Russian trainers
