This month we are happy to have Bill Goff from
the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO)

Bill described the types of variable stars, what science we have learned from observing varialble
stars, including some recent contributions to astronomy, as well as describing
projects where professional and amateur astronomers have collaborated.
